Pastel Sky
This morning we took Merlin for a walk in the South Downs. We went up to the beech woods at Staunton and Walderton and did a circuit over the chalk downs and then through the villages.
It was lovely weather for a walk - mild, with a gentle breeze to clear your head and, with the high clouds and milky light, the views were fantastic. We were surprised to discover how far the view stretched from the edge of the wood, looking south-west towards our home village and onto the Solent and the Isle of Wight - the land you can see in the distance.
Afterwards it was home for hot soup and rolls, followed for me - by a couple of hours digging at the allotment, and for Andy - with some sewing to repair Merlin's cushion bed which he has been trying to chew up! And now it is Sunday evening already.... Hoping you have all had a good day.
