Lively Surf at Tynemouth...

The sun came out beautifully this afternoon, so we took the Metro to Cullercoats and walked along to Tynemouth. This provided a range of photo opportunities. Choosing the blip was tricky but we do like this telephoto shot of some lads on the rocks. (Best seen large.)

We also watched some intrepid surfers (OK they were wearing suits, but how on earth do they keep warm in the North Sea at this time of year?!) - the extra shows how much the spray was rising in front of them.

There's a Google Photo album of our afternoon here. (We don't have a dog but we enjoyed watching dogs having fun. The dismembered "bodies" in the final photo was taken at Tynemouth market - we arrived there just as the stallholders were clearing up.)
