Scrub Jay

Down in the Reserve this afternoon, a scrub jay in the scrub. I managed several shots of various species including a rough-legged hawk in flight, but none were really close enough to satisfy. This was the best of a bad bunch.

The tracks are all very tricky now, old footprints having compressed the snow into solid ice. A beautiful day, the fog has gone and the sky as blue as you'll ever see.
