Welcome Home!!

These beautiful flowers were waiting for us when we arrived home early this afternoon. Our wonderful friend Bob and Irene had called by and left milk in the fridge and a Banana Cake, just in case :). Bob has been fantastic while we were away. He has called by the house every day and made sure everything was in order and paid great attention to the bird bowls. They were full to the brim when we returned. I know the little wallabies were happy he had been coming because he also weeded the veggie patch and was bemused when next visit someone had polished off the weeds he had left on the pavers just outside the wallaby proof fence. Well we all know who that would have been!! It had been a great relief for me to have Bob look after us in this way, Irene and Bob are two of the kindest people you could ever meet.

It was a long drive from Wagga Wagga but we got away by 7.30am and were well up the track by 10.30. I was keen to beat the heat. Our special blip buddy 59 had us organised to call when we were about 20 minutes away from Bathurst so that she could put the kettle on and make us a cuppa. It was a great time to have a break and it’s always terrific to catch up with Jane and Bob.

We were both really delighted to arrive at the top of the driveway today after three very adventurous and action packed weeks.
