Grange-over-sands.

A town of just over 4,000 people opposite Arnside on the northern side of the River Kent estuary.

Grange has several attractions including a mile long pedestrian promenade and a prize winning tea and coffee shop oft frequented by the Knottmans. The town used to be known as God’s Waiting Room but this was rather unfair as it is a very lively place.

At the top right of the photo is the summit of Hampsfell, one of the Fell walks described in Wainwrights book for Old Age Pensioners.

At the left of the shot is the village of Kent’s Bank, home of welcome new Blipper Flavia13.

To this viewpoint from my front door is 9,500 steps. So that is almost my exercise for the day. Good thing there is a coffee shop on the route.
