Ancient Olympia

Today we spent the whole day at Ancient Olympia. It is a fantastic site and much bigger with more to see than I expected.

The boys had fun running in the Olympic stadium and the museum is well worth a visit.

The neighbouring modern Olympia exists purely for tourists and, as it is winter and there are few tourists, was mostly closed.

A great, interesting, fun but still relaxing day.

The owner of the hotel we are staying in asked us if we like fish as he’s going to his friend today so we are having dinner in. I’ll let you know how it goes!
