No celebrations

Wow, what a day. Doreen ended up staying with us tonight. She seems quite poorly and is reluctant to eat. At 12.00 noon she was called to an appointment with the TIA clinic at 3.00pm this afternoon just as our friends arrived for the day.

Susan was helping get her mum ready for the appointment while I looked after Al and Liz. They were very understanding and were happy to go back after lunch.

The rest of the day was spent shuttling between hospital and Doreen’s, clearing up after lunch and finishing off the dinner Al and Liz were missing.

I was hoping for a better blip to mark the 5th anniversary of Mono Monday but this had to do. I was even contemplating sticks of celery in a basin, celerybasin, sounds vaguely like celebration!
