Larch trees
This is a view from what I'm told is the largest larch forest in Finland, in my home village Puhos. The forest was originally planted about 200 years ago to provide wood for ships. This was commissioned by Nils Ludwig Arppe, a local industrial notable, who also built the first steam boat in Finland (which I mentioned in my first blip. The small traffic sign on the right bottom corner is for a snow mobile route.
