Yes, it's that time of year. The time of year when people are surprised by snow ("what, snow in wintertime? Are you joking?") and seem to have forgotten how to drive in icy or snowy conditions ("Perhaps I should rev. my engine as hard as possible in first gear; that'll work, right?").

My ire is especially reserved for BMW drivers who insist on having wide, low profile, grip-free tyres on their overly powerful rear-wheel drive cars. Gah.
