Nostalgia
Made a batch of my mother’s gypsy cream biscuits . Made with butter lard flour golden syrup and porridge oats . Still a family favourite although I rarely make them . I once tried to substitute the lard with something more cholesterol friendly but not surprisingly did not taste so good . This weekend cooking vegan meal for niece but no lard or butter there!
