Little bush shack
This is my painting from memory of the little bush shack that served my parents and I for 10 to 15 years. It was set in bushland on the outskirts of Sydney. Meant to be a temporary dwelling, my mother's medical problems and a financial setback delayed the building of the 'proper' house (a 3 roomed fibro built single handed by my father a stick at a time over those years.)
Looking back, art and singing became my saving grace, both encouraged by my family. They still are!
