Lydia's New Hat

Yesterday Lyds bought a beautiful furry hat from M&S using some money her Grandfather gave her. It's the first item of clothing she's bought for herself in months, and I can't honestly say that she's taken it off all day. It suits her down to the ground, though, and the weather certainly warrants such headgear.

This evening Lauren, Lyds, The Hat and I braved the cold and wet to attend the CU Carol Concert. I haven't been to CU in a long time, having fallen out with the whole idea early this year, so was quite nervous about seeing familiar faces again. I'm happy to report that we had a great time singing our lungs out (and making it up where we didn't know the words!) and were rewarded with mince pies afterwards.

In less happy news, my poor Mum slipped over at work today and has broken her wrist. She says its very painful, and will be in plaster for the next 6 weeks at least. Its a good thing that the holidays are just around the corner as I think I'd be very useful at home right now!
