Temple of Athena at Delphi

We visited Delphi this morning and had the site almost to ourselves. This surprised us a bit as we had seen a few buses drive past.

The museum has some interesting pieces and the charioteer was beautiful.

Next to the Sanctuary is the Temple of Athena Pronaia which was very tranquil. We returned in the evening to write our travel diaries and enjoyed the sunset. Sitting there we could hear and see goats on the mountain side!

In the afternoon we drove to Arachova - the next town along the road from Delphi. It is a ski resort town and was spectacularly on the side of the mountain.
