Splash!

There I was, all set to photograph a pair of Tufted Ducks, when "splash!" one of them disappeared under the water in an instant, leaving only a trail of spray. Oh well, what would probably not have been my Blip for today suddenly became so.

Our Wednesday walk today was in Coatbridge and started with a short walk to Sunnyside Station from where we caught the train to Blairhill, just one stop further on. A further short walk took us into Drumpellier Country Park (where the main photo was taken) and we spent some time exploring the path network there before joining the Monkland Canal (see extra) for our walk back to Summerlee Museum, where we had parked the cars several hours earlier.

Only ten of us out today for various reasons, and we had rain, hail, wind and sun, all in the space of about four hours.
