Birds on a wire

I went for a walk this afternoon to put my new lens to use. I haven’t gotten those photos off the camera yet. But this sight got my attention for today’s blip - these kind of creepy fake pigeons perched on the wire fence. Who’d do such a thing and WHY? Just, why???
