Raising the Roof

Actually, raising the entire house and building a new floor underneath. See the red sign? "House Raising and Restumping".  Sometimes the entire house is loaded in one piece on a truck and moved to a new location before renovation begins.

Although this home is currently in a sad state, most of these refurbishments are most attractive when finished.
