Jellybean Row
Back blip - but only by about seven months!
After ten wonderful days touring Newfoundland and Labrador, we reached the province's capital city of St John's. The itinerary and timings for our morning city tour were rearranged because of the wet and windy weather, but we got out to Quidi Vidi and up to Signal Hill before driving back to our hotel via some of the streets that form part of what's known as Jellybean Row, because of their astonishing colours.
Since I was flying back to Toronto the following morning, I wanted to explore as much of the city as possible. So, after lunch, I headed out into the downpour for a walk around. My desire to do some serious sightseeing was somewhat tempered by the conditions, but I got back along to Jellybean Row (among other places) to look at these houses which the iconic image of St John's.
Maybe they don't look their best in the rain, but still attractive nonetheless. And that was Newfoundland and Labrador. An amazing place.
