Pub Sign 12 - The Kettledrum Inn

The Kettledrum Inn, Cliviger, Nr. Burnley.

Kettledrum - allegedly the most famous racehorse that ever lived in East Lancashire -  was a Thoroughbred belonging to Colonel Charles Towneley.  Kettledrum won the Derby in1861.
The pub (see extra) dates back to the1820s but was renamed in1861 to honour the victory.
