Doggone it

Someone in the family wears dentures. Not me thankfully! Anyway, one went missing, and we searched everywhere. Then the lost item turned up - in pieces in the dog’s basket! He evidently thought he’d found a nice little bone to chew ...
So a trip to the dentist for the chewed gnashers’ owner. We assumed it would be an amusing tale to tell the dentist, but it barely raised a smile. What we thought was a rare anecdote is apparently a relatively common occurrence!
Today has been very cold, but sunny and bright, as this kitchen window view confirms.
