Little Egret

For years I've wanted to get a decent photo of a Little Egret. They are quite shy and I'm not one to patiently wait in a bitd hide. But today I was very lucky. I went on a 40 minute walk in my lunch break and on the way back, this Little Egret was close to the path, but because there was a hedge he didn't see me at first. I suppose I could have changed the aperture but I was so pleased to be so close to this regal bird.

The extras are of some Black-tailed Godwits. There were hundreds of birds on the river today, I was spoilt for choice
