The Wrong Position

Hill of Tarvit Mansionhouse is a National Trust of Scotland. Today I chaired a meeting of the East Fife Members Centre.
Afterwards I photographed the sundial sculpture which was created specifically for the house and was completed in 1906.
The correct Latitude is 3 degrees 12 minutes West and not as carved.
Did the Owner know? The Architect? Nothing is apparently known.
Crisp cold and extremely bright blue skies and sun.
