Somerset Levels

I have always wanted to see a Murmeratiom on the Somerset levels, and so we went in plenty of time not only to have a look around Avalon Marshes, but to get very cold ! Standing with a couple if hundred other people, at about 4.45 they appeared- all 800,000 of them. They settled in the marshes sooner than I expected, but was an incredible sight while it lasted. Would like to go again as apparently every evening is very different. We then walked back to the car which we had left 2 5miles away....another 5 miles off my #walk1000miles target.
