Three and a Half Men
These men were here to rip out part of my garage ceiling to find the source(s) of the leak. Can be seen on the upper left.
They also ripped out the wet boards covering the stairway to the basement. And stopped before ripping out the entire outer wall which was also dripping wet and moldy.
Two men are on a scaffold and a bit too hard to see.
It was a big messy job. Now everything is left to drip until spring or summer when it is warm enough to dry it all out and then decide what else to do.
The boy in the red hat is about 9 or 10 years old. He is living an interesting life. On alternate months he lives with his Dad up here in NY state and with his Mother down in North Carolina. He is being home schooled. But the wonder of it is he comes out with his Dad to help on construction and renovation jobs like this one. Being in a man's world and getting a practical education that will serve him in the future. Such a lucky boy.
He recognizes all the tools, fetches and carries as much as he can, and observes how the men do the work. They made sure he wore a dust mask the entire time.
The entire job including clean up too less than two hours and cost me $200 less than the agreed upon bid.
