Crockery drawer
Don't you love it when you're faced with a problem and gradually - or sometimes quickly - the solution begins to birth itself right under your nose?
And so it was today.
Van pimping. Problem - crockery stored in a drawer chinks and joggles as you drive along.
Solution - get some foam and cut shapes into it so crockery can sit in made-to-measure holes.
Head to Bunnings (second most popular place for me to shop these days behind supermarket). Can't find any thick foam BUT.....found jigsaw-style interlocking think foam pieces that cost virtually next to nothing. That'll work......
Remove jigsaw edging. Now - how to cut straight edges and circles? A little internet research and the answer was sitting in a kitchen drawer..........the electric knife! Measure and cut out bottom layer. Fits snugly. Onto second layer.......circles - a little trickier but didn't take long to find the technique that worked best for me. All good :) Secured and safe and ready to journey.
(Note - I carry plenty of mugs so you're always welcome to drop in for a cuppa!)
Feeling very contented.
