Bb Beach Boy

Some laptop work in the morning, a little bit of Copacabana beach, a wander around Ipanema and then to Lorenzo restaurant in Jardim Botanico area for an early dinner (Rua Visconde do Carandai, 2 - for our own records). We always say that Jardim Botanico area feels a bit more Sao Paulo-ish than Rio - a bit more finished and more 'nicer' restaurants with people fully clothed and 'out for dinner', than 'just off the beach'!  We both changed out of our beach stuff in the bathroom - Bb into a fresh shirt, same shorts and I put on linen dress and voila!   We'd planned ahead and put those into our bags this morning!  We shared a starter of blinis with smoked salmon and cream cheese , then I had steak with béarnaise sauce and chips, Bb had steak with dauphinoise potatoes.  We weren't going to have dessert but were then presented with a little dish to share of small pieces of cheese and 3 different jams - nice!  We finished the day off at Tipicamente on the way home for 20 minutes of local Copacabana atmosphere.
