Barpa Langass
Today's light relief to the discussion was a trip to Barpa Langass, a chambered cairn not far from Lochmaddy. Having been several times before I was not 100% enthused with the prospect but in fact to hear the experts talk about its construction and possible imminent destruction was fascinating. Look carefully and you will see at least four Time Team regulars!
I am not sure what the generic term is for a group of archaeologists. A dig? A section? A trench? A find? Looking at this image "An anorak of Archaeologists" might be the best!
In the evening I forego the pleasures of the Symposium Ceilidh and went to the pub to help celebrate J's birthday. Beer was drunk, food partaken off and conversation had.
