Unwelcome quest

Whilst having dinner at our favourite Indian Restaurant, we noticed an unwelcome quest, a rather large rat.   It appeared suddenly, had look under and around the unoccupied table.  Peeped through the window of the hat shop, then vanished through a gap in the wall.   It did make me jump when it was running towards the shop as it was heading straight for me.  It upset a small frenchie that was with a family also enjoying the restaurants outdoor area.  The little dog obviously wanted to chase the unwelcome quest off, fortunately it was firmly secured and could only bark.  The girl who works in the hat shop was serving a customer at the time, but did later confirm that she had seen the rat peep into her shop.  I did briefly consider telling the young couple who then sat at the table about the visitor, but though better of it.   On the whole rats don't bother me, they are found in every country.  It is said that you are never that far away from a rat.  I would be upset if one moved into our complex, as we pay a fee for pest control.
