Waiting

A dewy drizzly dreich day.  Necklaces of drops on the whins, spiders in rubber boots, sporting peedie brollies.  The sun waited in the wings all day, suspended somewhere in the moistness above Caithness - but not Orkney.  It’ll shine where it shines - at 2.35 p.m. it made a late curtain call.

Later Murcof came to the rescue.
