Club Mex
A busy day today!
I set up an extra crochet meetup this morning, just for new members as they find it difficult to get a place at our regular sessions (because the places get taken by so many of the core members) or they are a little nervous about joining a large group for the first time. It was really nice to meet 9 new members and I hope they will all be back.
I may then have bought myself a camera on the way home - but couldn't possibly confirm or deny that rumour.
I had an hour and a half before heading back into Manchester to host an event with book club. Club Mex is a part-immersive, part-musical clubbing experience at Hope Mill Theatre. You had to stand throughout as the performance takes place around you, the audience being fellow holiday makers in Mexico. It was absolutely amazing, quite possibly one of my favourite book club events - and after running book club for 5 years, that's saying a lot! I was slightly worried that the event sounded very random but every time I looked at my friends from book club, all I could see was them laughing and smiling - and you can't ask more than that.
Quote for today:
Expose yourself to as much randomness as possible.
