To sleep, perchance to dream...A
Backblipped 19.01.19
Home visit from the dietician this morning. She is really happy with Alan's progress in the two years since his emergency ileostomy and was delighted to hear how much he is enjoying life. Unfortunately she didn't actually get to see him as he was out enjoying life last night so was having an extra long lie in this morning! She will visit again in April only for that visit she will come after lunch when she will hopefully see Alan!
After she had left I made the smoked mackerel and the mushroom pate for tonight and David went to pick up the haggis from the butcher and pick up a few other bits and pieces.
Ele, Kenny, Agnes and Adrian arrived just after 7.30pm and a good night was had by all. We certainly made up for Agnes and Adrian missing out on being here on Hogmanay and Adrian got to try haggis for the first time....and loved it!
We all had a dram of single malt with the haggis but other than me, the rest just had a tiny sip and passed the rest of their shots to Kenny, who ended the meal in a very cheerful mood! :-))
Agnes and Adrian were delighted to learn they would be sleeping in the new bed. A great test for it as Adrian is a very restless sleeper who wakes Agnes up many times as he moves around in his sleep as though he's in a wrestling match!
We all gave up the ghost at 2am. Not bad for a bunch of oldies :D
PS New bedside tables on order :-)
