Red Bull Defiance, Day 2

Today the competitors kayaked down the Clutha River, (20 ks), then cycled over the Criffel Mountains (31 ks), Ran along the Skyline Track (28Ks).  I took this photo near the end of the run.  These guys were running at a great rate, while others could hardly walk!!  At least today the weather has been fine and windy, not too hot.  The extras missed the cut.  (I walked the Skyline Track many years ago, it took me 11 1/2 hours!!!)

I went to church this morning, the flowers are an extra.  The hymn for today is 'How Great Thou Art'.

My daughter has headed back to Wellington after a holiday here in Wanaka.  She starts work again on Tuesday.
