A handsome boy

One of our cockerals was enjoying  the sunshine today. In fact all our feathered friends seemed very happy as they settled on branches or made dust baths .

We spent a few hours outside with them which included  changing the water in the big troughs  (a two person job ) and the ducks had a great time splashing and making the clean water muddy.

Once the morning frost had gone, it was quite warm in the sunshine, although that could be because of the number of layers I wear outside plus ski gloves and woollen hat. Once again the sky was a brilliant blue and cloudless.

Let's hope this weather continues and the grey cloud does not descend again.
