A Winter’s Day in London!

Edward Burne-Jones exhibition, Tate Britain, London

And what a cold Winter’s day it was, only 4 degrees but it felt much colder. Despite major engineering work on the railway, all went to plan, a fairly leisurely day pootling around the capital. The day in brief(-ish!):

- Train from local station (raining) to Bath
- Second train to London
- Bus from Paddington to Tate Britain
- Edward Burne-Jones exhibition (very crowded and a bit disappointing), amazing staircases and giant Leopard Slugs by Monster Chetwynd (see first three extras)
- Bus via Westminster and Trafalgar Square (“Bread and Roses” protest march in full swing - see extra) to Charing Cross
- St Martins in the Field for lunch in the amazing Crypt Café
- St Martins in the Field church (Vivaldi concert rehearsal – see extra)
- Walk to Covent Garden
- St Paul’s Church (Mozart concert rehearsal – see extra)
- Wander around Covent Garden market stalls (Vivaldi buskers – see extra)
- Walk down The Strand to Charing Cross
- Underground to Paddington
- Train to Bath
- Train to local station

(Lots of extras, sorry, couldn't decide on a favourite. Backblip posted Sunday as worn out when I got home from London, sorry to have got behind with blip...)
