Lesley's day by day

King's College in the snow

I was out at King's College Chapel with its Imperial crown today in the medieval campus of Aberdeen University. Beautiful setting but very sad occasion. I was there for the funeral of a colleague who had died at the age of 51. He left a wife and a young son. Death at any time is sad but when it is someone who had a lot still to do, it is worse in some ways. An amazing man who I had worked with for the last ten years and who I respected and admired greatly. He was sent on his way by Pink Floyd and Adele with a copy of Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I am sure he is now shining in some parallel universe and working out the science of it all.
