Solve a newspaper Codeword puzzle on a daily basis - always hope that when it’s completed I’ve discovered a new to me or little used word

When on Granny Duty used to pick a couple words from the puzzle - announce and define them as words of the day - and encourage H&M to incorporate them into conversation

To illustrate the words I would have picked today - would have informed them that I’m sassy and make pithy comments - think their view on this may differ from mine

Hope this activity has increased their vocabulary
