Notes from a bald-eagle

By Aquila

Swans Way

With a lot of the smaller pools frozen, a group of hungry swans had gathered on the larger pond to feed on what weed there was available. Very few other birds were around in what is normally a bird rich area. They must have been elsewhere sheltering from the cold north wind. Smow on all the hills around, but typically none in East Lothian.
