Much Better

A picture of the mural outside Portobello High School which was moved from the old building. Taken after a much better game of football than the last two weeks. After failing to beat the keeper with a couple of early chances I thought I might continue to struggle but I did at least get an 'assist' shortly afterwards as we took the lead slightly against the odds. Better yet I beat the keeper to a through ball and chipped it over his head into an empty net for my first goal of the year. The other lot pulled level and then N pounced on a error to put us ahead again. Shortly afterwards I took a throw-in to N who passed it back to me. The ball sat up nicely for a half volley and I caught it as sweetly as I have done for a long time and it whizzed into the side netting at the far side of the goal. Very pleasing. We went further ahead as I flicked a ball on to B and despite conceding two before the end we held on to win 5-4.
