Deanhead Reservoir

MONDAY

I was working from home today, so at lunchtime set off on a 5km run up to the moor. I just kept going and ended up at Deanhead Reservoir which is high up in the Pennines above Scammonden Water and miles from civilisation. By the time I arrived home I had clocked-up almost 21 km (just short of a half marathon) and climbed through 1180 ft.

The reservoir was full to overflowing - a bit different to when I last ran up here back in October.

So my one-hour lunch ended up being well over two hours and I had to work late into the evening to make up the time.

I'm stuck inside providing office cover tomorrow so my legs will get a rest.
