Continuing the Bird Theme
It was busy again today, all the usual suspects visiting the Bird Table. But today more than any of the others, this Chaffinch kept coming back and sometimes staying for a while. He was particularly interested in the Sunflower seeds. I also noticed the light coloured makings on the wooden upright of the table. this is caused by Wasps stripping away slivers of the wood to build there hives/ nests. You can actually hear them stripping the wood if you are sitting close enough. As long as you don't disturb them, they wont hurt you, they are too busy for that. So the table serves two purposes, 1. inthe winter for feeding Birds, 2. in the summer for feeding Wasps Have a good weekend everyone!
