Light snow showers.

An unusual day for me having decided to stay at home avoiding snow and ice. I was on my own all day feeling a bit low but I enjoyed listening to Radio4 and LBC for much of the day.

The afternoon drama County Lines was a story like TV's Vera recent episode around the city drug dealers moving their trade out to the counties BUT the story had a main character not involved and NOT Police which gave it a different emphasis and much more interesting. The drama was written by Amelia Bullmore - who as an actress was in Classic Coronation Street on ITV3 this afternoon playing Steph married to Des she is also known as the Senior Policeman boss in the Scott&Bailey TV Series.

I also found the Fortunately podcast via iPlayer Radio ( the new BBC Sounds app doesn't work on this old iPad ). Iain Dale talking to Jane Garvey and Fi Glover with a guest appearance from the actor who plays PC Burns in the Archers. It seems Jane may have a crush!

Eddie Mair on LBC is still a good listen for news and insight.
