Festive fruits

To me pomegranates seem festive - but not sure why they should be?

Captured at Marche Saint Antoine in Lyon In addition to the myriad of cheese, bread, meat and fish stalls were ones selling funghi - mostly dried; chestnuts in all sorts of guises: flour, dried and candied and I even lychees from La Reunion

Prices are low compared to what we'd pay - kilos of veg for 1 or 2 euros
