Lovely afternoon

People who know Birmingham will recognise the Library. It’s not the usual angle but I couldn’t resist the reflections in the freezing sparkly light. Near to the Cambridge Street car park ( or whatever it’s called now) there are some tower blocks, typical of the old Ladywood architecture. It’s amazing how a blue sky can make even them attractive.

A friend came up from London on the train for the day. We had a fabulous lunch in Cielo and then attended a wonderful concert given by the CBSO. Sibelius and Brahms. The soloist for the Sibelius violin concerto was ChristianTetzlaff, on splendid form.

It was still pretty icy for the drive home, and snow is still lying.

But it was a super day.

Extra: inside Symphony Hall from our row C seats.
