Winter Bus Challenge No 160!

Royal Women, Fashion Museum, Bath

“Wives and daughters, sisters and mothers; none of the Royal women featured in the exhibition was monarch; yet each played a key role in the British monarchy.

Royal Women examines how these roles influenced their choice of dress. Exhibition highlights include Alexandra, Princess of Wales’ wedding dress, dating from 1863, on loan from the Royal Collection, generously lent by Her Majesty The Queen...

The stories behind the dresses and the choice of colour, cut or style can tell us much about Alexandra, Mary, Elizabeth, and Margaret, and how they chose to present themselves as royal women.” https://www.fashionmuseum.co.uk/events/royal-women

Dresses in clockwise order, starting top left: Sophie, Countess of Wessex - Queen Mary - Queen Alexandra - Princess Margaret - Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother

A beautiful, frosty morning of blue skies and slippery, icy pavements. After a quick visit to the hospital in Bath for an x-ray, I headed to the Fashion Museum with my BC friend to look at their latest exhibition, “Royal Women”. Some beautiful dresses, but we were both surprised, and slightly disappointed, that the exhibition wasn’t very big. But at least that gave me time to run a few errands in town before winding my weary way home.

Total bus journey time = No idea, but I do remember that today’s challenge involved three buses!
