Lovely Lysander

This is another graceful lady from the Second World War.  This special machine was a short take off and landing aircraft for covert ops in occupied territories.  There was a unit equipped with them at Tempsford, not far from Old Warden, whose crews would take off at night carrying spies to operate behind German lines, mostly in France I suppose.
