Low Tide at Riwaka Wharf....

Rachel and I walked our 7km route in the morning. We drove to town early afternoon and had lunch at the cafe at Toad Hall. After various shopping tasks we drove to “The Kumuras”, an estuarine area to suss out photographic possibilities. We then drove to the wharf areas on the Riwaka River. The light was lovely despite haze over the distant mountains. Once back at Kaiteriteri we found that one of our long-standing camping friends, Steve, had died suddenly at his camping site. There followed a very emotionally sad time with all his friends supporting each other. RIP friend Steve.
