Crocus cartwrightianus

From Greece and Crete, this is a very special form, much coveted for having white flowers with deep purple veins. The typical forms are shades of lilac with variable darker feathering. Not a good garden plant here, the flowers would have been mashed by the recent weather without the protection of a cold frame.

One day off between two 50 hour sessions at work ... at least the sun shone even if I am too tired to make the best of it!
