MANIPUR SANGAI TOURISM FESTIVAL, 2012

Day 1

The 10-day long fest started from 21st November 2012 till 30th November 2012.
The task of officially covering the photography & videography work of the whole event was entrusted to our club MAPC (Manipur Amateur Photo Club). We all have been so busy with the work that we find little time for any kind of online activities during the period. Will be backblipping the events day by day soon.

Depicted above was the grand cultural ensemble showcased on the opening evening of the fest at all its full glory. The icing in the cake was the father and son from the hills (Tangkhul Tribe) coming into the spotlight who were supposed to be visiting their brethren(The Meeteis) of the valley during the festival. Symbolic indeed given the current state of affairs, the outcome of individualism worship amongst the tribes and clans in the name of identity crisis!
