Whitby 2/2

Looking back across the river to where yesterday's photograph was taken at dusk.
A bright sunshiny day that was perfect for K and me to wander around Whitby. The Abbey, The Dracula Experience and the Captain Cook Museum were all closed, sadly for us, but the town itself is pretty and the seascapes were beautiful. We made do with a pint, and a gin, in The Endeavour pub before purchasing a bottle of Whitby Gin.

The bus journey that should take one hour took one hour and 11 minutes which ensured we arrived at the station just in time to see our one-per-hour train leave the station. This, in turn, meant we would miss our York to London connection. I considered our options over a bottle of Lagunitas beer and decided to get tickets for a much later train from York.
As we then had several hours to kill in York we went to see The Shambles, had dinner in the Golden Fleece, headed to a goth pub (we were the only customers), had another in the local Brewdog and finally back to my flat around midnight. I've promised K a no alarm morning tomorrow.
Zzzzzzz.
