I've never had a bike that's been plugged into a computer before, then had a diagnostic check and its firmware updated.

I'd had some issues with inconsistent power delivery so, as I was in Brum today, I popped into the bike shop and they knew exactly what the problem was et voila, Electric Eric's had an upgrade!

He's been transformed; the ride home was sublime, better than ever.

Apparently the new software reduces the force needed on the torque sensor to tell it to deliver power. They've reduced it from 10kg to 5kg and it makes a world of difference I can tell you. Much zippier and even quicker away from the lights.

I was interested to see on the screen how many km I'd done on the bike and in which power mode.
