Taking boats for a walk

With no water anywhere and no wind either we headed to the Tummel. Dam controlled releases but theres always a compensation flow. Not much paddling (but we knew that), a bit of portaging, lots of lining made for a hard work day. Still, it's good to get those skills slick. The paddling we did do was fun. Low volume and technical needing good river reading skills, precision and a bit of luck. It's been great to be out lots although am feeeling pretty battered and bruised now so very glad the weather has stopped play tommorow making it a bonus day off!
